Background:

I was born and raised in Northern Kentucky.   My wife and I have lived in Park Hills and raised our 6 children for the last 24 years.  I have been on City Council for the past 10+ years.  I have worked in senior management for a global logistics/aviation company for 35+ years in a variety of positions where I was responsible for a large varied staff and budgets exceeding $10M.  I had oversight for the procurement of expensive aviation equipment and 3rd party contracts.   I have a BS in Marketing from Northern Kentucky University.  I have served on the Parish Council at St. Agnes and served on the Park Hills Civic Association.  â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Why did you decide to run for public office?

First of all, we love our city.

As I noted, I have been on City Council for the past 10+ years and we have enjoyed a great run of success during that time.  Taking a budget that was near bankruptcy to one with a positive reserve in excess of a million dollars.  Also addressing a declining infrastructure to a situation now that has the vast majority of our streets and sidewalks (including new/additional sidewalks) in great shape.  I want to continue the positive trends.

What are the most critical issues facing your constituents or community?

We are a small city with a small tax base that is mostly funded by our citizens, so we must remain diligent and keep a strong hand on our finances.  We also need to find creative ways to entice more businesses to our great city.

What leadership qualities would you bring to the council?

I am level headed and logical in how I think about the issues that face our city and citizens.   I believe in treating everyone with respect, regardless of any differences in our stance on a topic.  â€‹â€‹â€‹

Do you have any further comments or anything you’d like to emphasize?

I just want to continue the direction our city is headed and to protect, preserve, and keep our great city safe and profitable.
